【作家メッセージ】
技法は吹きガラスです。
光そのものの様な、氷の様な、熔けた石の様なガラスの性質に興味を惹かれます。
そこには熔けたガラスの⼀瞬の形の勢いや、力強さなど即興的な、おもしろさもあります。
また、ガラスの中の光の揺らぎにはいつも魅了されるのですが、ガラスの持つ手触りなど質感にも興味があります。
それらを効果的に生かすためには、素材についての研究が⽋かせないと、あらためて思いました。
そこでガラスの原料を自分で調合して熔かすことにした訳です。
それはガラスについて考え直す転回点となりました。
また発想や技術についても再検討する切っ掛けともなりました。

【Message from the artist】
The technique I use is glass blowing.
I am fascinated by the qualities of glass that resemble light itself, ice, or molten stone. There is an intriguing spontaneity in the momentary shapes, momentum, and strength of molten glass.
I am always captivated by the flickering light within the glass, and I am also interested in the texture and tactile qualities that glass possesses. This has led me to realize the importance of studying the material in order to effectively harness these qualities.
As a result, I decided to mix and melt my own glass materials. This became a turning point for me in rethinking glass itself. It also prompted me to reconsider my ideas and techniques.

1956年 大阪市に生まれる
1975年 大阪市立工芸高校美術科卒業
1984年 東京ガラス工芸研究所研究科修了
　石川県、能登島ガラス工房に勤務
1987年 兵庫県篠山市に工房を開設
　　　　制作を開始
　個展、グループ展などに出品
　　　　現在に至る
　　　 大阪工芸協会会員
