【作家メッセージ】
糸と私は相性が良いようです。
染め場で、何度も何度も繰り返し染液につけ、私は糸と遊びます。染められた1本の柔らかい糸は、織機にかけられると、経糸として凛とした姿になります。
そして空気を含ませるかのように、⼀段⼀段ていねいに緯糸を⼊れて織り進めていくと、糸は布に⽣まれ変わっていきます。
それは、まるで私に語りかけてくるような表情を醸し出してきます。
糸と私とだけの対話が始まります。
糸が好き、ただそれだけのことで織り続けています。

【Message from the artist】
I seem to have a good affinity with threads.
I play with the threads in the dyeing room, soaking them in the dye solution over and over again. When a soft dyed thread is put on the loom, it becomes a dignified warp.
Then, as if to let the air in, I carefully weave in the weft threads, and the threads are reborn as cloth.
The threads give off an atmosphere as if they are trying to talk to me.
A dialogue begins between me and the threads.
My love threads is the only thing that motivates me to continue weaving.
