【作家メッセージ】
私は革で鞄・財布・小物・アクセサリーを製作しています。
ヌメ革は、工房で染めています。
革は重たいイメージがありますが、なるべく軽量化を試み、そしてシンプルで飽きがこないデザインを考えながら日々製作をしています。　
鞄などの大きいパーツを裁断すると、どうしても小さな端材が出てしまいます。
それがすごくもったいないので、色々な種類の端材を組み合わせたり、ステッチでアクセントを入れたりして革の全てを使って様々なものを製作しています。
革は使えば使うほど馴染んできて、特にヌメ革は色の変化を楽しめます。
ひとつひとつ質感や色味が微妙に異なるので、ぜひ手に取って見ていただければ嬉しいです。

【Message from the artist】
I make bags, wallets, small goods, and accessories from leather.
I dye the leather in my workshop.
Leather has often a heavy image, but every day I strive to make it as lightweight as possible while designing pieces that are simple and timeless.
When cutting large pieces to create bags, for example, small scraps inevitably result.
I find throwing away these scraps very wasteful, so I use them and add accents with stitching to create various items, making full use of the leather.
The leather becomes more comfortable and develops character with use, and with vegetable-tanned leather, you can enjoy changes in color over time.
Each piece has a subtly different texture and hue, so I would be delighted if you could see and touch them

【経歴・受賞歴・出展歴など】
2011年 イタリアへ1年間交換留学。
2013年～2016年 ローマへ語学留学、そして伝統ある革工房に出会い修行開始。
後フィレンツェの専門学校を卒業、デザイン・製作を工房で学ぶ。
帰国後、工房 CARICARIをオープン。
