【作家メッセージ】
陶の器に、工芸（陶芸、金属、木工等）伝統装飾技法の一つである象嵌（素地を彫り、その部分に他の素材や異なる色を嵌め込む）をしています。
私の場合は、成形した素地が生渇きの時に、押刻、彫刻などの方法で線や面の凹文様を器面に付け、そこに異色の泥（化粧土）を埋め込み、はみ出した部分を削り取って象嵌文様を施しています。
とても手間はかかりますが、模様が際立つ、色彩豊かな作品を創る事が出来ます。
象嵌の装飾を施し個性を出しながら食べ物、飲み物、花等が引き立ち、使い易く気持ちが豊かになる作品を創っています。
自分の思いを込めながら、心に響く器を創作していきたいと思っています。
うつわを中心に、象嵌のペンダント・トップと組紐を合わせたペンダントも展示致します。

【Message from the artist】
I use inlay (a traditional decorative technique in crafts such as ceramics, metalwork, and woodworking where the base material is carved, and other materials or different colors are embedded into the carved areas) on ceramic pieces. In my case, when the molded clay is leather-hard, I create recessed patterns of lines and surfaces on the piece using techniques such as impressing and carving. Then, I fill these recesses with slips of a different color and scrape off the excess to create inlaid designs.
While this process is very labor-intensive, it allows me to create pieces with vivid, colorful patterns that stand out. I strive to create works that enhance the beauty of food, drinks, flowers, and more, while adding unique inlay decorations that make them easy to use and enrich one’s spirit.
I aim to create pieces that resonate with the heart, imbued with my own thoughts and feelings. Alongside my tableware, I will also exhibit pendants combining inlay with braided cords.
